About the artist:

Born: 1978

Education: BFA with honors, 2001, The University of the Arts (Philadelphia College of Art & Design)

Jill Pearson began her career as an editorial illustrator. Throughout most of her 20's she created digital collage illustrations for newspapers and magazines around the country. She has received awards and recognition from some of the nations top illustration institutions and has exhibited in shows at New York's Society of Illustrators.

In 2006, she decided to expand from the niche of editorial illustration to begin an online boutique, Sophie and Spice. Named for her daughter, the site sells a variety of custom designed products including nursery art, pop art portraits, mommy business cards, and posters made from children's artwork. The website has been featured in national parenting and children's magazines and websites.

Missing the tactile nature of paint and other mediums, Jill rekindled her roots as a fine artist in her late 20s. Her fine art is found in private and corporate collections in the US, UK and Canada. She primarily sells her work through a number of online galleries. Jill resides in suburban Philadelphia with her husband, three year old daughter, and what may be the world's fattest cat.
